Google has rolled out a new feature for Gmail on Android called Gmail Q&A, allowing users to search their inbox using Gemini. With this update, you can ask Gemini questions about your emails directly in the Gmail app. Previously available in the web version, this feature is now accessible on mobile, with an iOS release coming soon.
Gmail Q&A enables tasks like finding specific details in emails, showing unread messages, displaying emails from certain senders, or summarizing emails on specific topics. To use this feature, tap the black Gemini star at the top right of the Gmail app or select the "summarize this email" option. The feature will be rolled out over the next 15 days and requires a subscription to Google One AI Premium or a Gemini Business, Enterprise, Education, or Education Premium plan.
