Xiaomi Teases Redmi Note 14 Series Launch: Major Design Upgrades and New Features Expected

   Xiaomi is gearing up to launch the Redmi Note 14 series in China next week, featuring notable design updates and hardware improvements. The lineup will include three models: Redmi Note 14, Note 14 Pro, and Note 14 Pro+, following the Redmi Note 13 5G series.

   Xiaomi’s teasers reveal a revamped squircle camera module design. The Note 14 Pro+ boasts a 50MP main camera with optical image stabilization (OIS) and an f/1.6 aperture, complemented by a 60mm f/2.2 mid-focus lens. The Note 14 Pro also features a 50MP AI camera with OIS but likely lacks a telephoto lens, opting instead for a depth sensor for enhanced macro shots. The Pro+ camera island is covered in glass, while other models have protruding camera lenses.

   The series has received an IP68 rating, offering improved resistance to dust, water, and drops, and has been selected as the official device of China’s Blue Sky Rescue Team. Despite these upgrades, the Note 14 series reportedly continues with a plastic frame. The Pro model is expected to feature a Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 SoC and a 1.5K dual-curved screen, with all models running on Android 14.

   The Note 14 Pro+ supports 90W fast charging, a step down from the 120W charging found in earlier models. The series is expected to launch between September 23 and 29.
